this post was supposed to be posted a week ago i guess? but something happened.. and i dont wish to say it.
ok, 12th july, we left for thailand at around eleven o' clock. hmm, the plane food was quite nice. hahaha.. i ate chicken with rice and i finished it. (: then i watched 'bridge to terabithia' and part of '200 pounds beauty'. the plane ride to thailand was smooth.. hahaha
we reached the hotel and unpacked. debrief and whatsoever etc.. lol. the next day on the 13th of july, the children's choir competition was held. the others who werent involved had some time on our own and we watched the competition. we watched the open equal voices, youth voices and folklore too.. the singers were wonderful and all were challenging.
14th july, it was the day of the open mixed competition. we woke up very early to have breakfast and get changed. then we had warm-ups, the choir was in a good state(: most of us didnt seem nervous in fact, but a lot were mesmerized by the other choirs, especially choirs from overseas. haha.. but what tkchoir wants to beat is catholic high choir. lol. as long as we score higher than cat. high choir, we will be on cloud nine.
outside the hall, some were nervous.. some were, erm, elated? lol. hahaha.. it felt like SYF 2007, where we sat outside the hall, waiting for our turn to go in and sing our best. mr kwei came to give his blessing to us during the interval and there we went, onto the stage and sang our best with our heart. it was wonderful. esp binnama. we stayed in the hall to listen to the rest of the open mixed choirs. victoria junior college was brilliant, excellent, fabulous and whatever words to express their singing.
we had a quick dinner and went back for the announcement of results. the first that was announced was the children's choir competition. the first two choirs before tkchoir got a silver. and tkchoir got a gold! WEEEE! so happy!!!! and we'd gotten the category champion for children's choir!(:
the other categories were announced and finally, the open mixed results were announced. 18 choirs took part in it. the atmosphere was very tense. catholic high choir was just before tkchoir. when their result was announced, everyone was nervous. they scored 82+ i think. then it was tkchoir. there was a pause when mr kwei announced the results, and everyone was anxious. he announced we got a gold, and... we got 83.66! some of us stood up after it was announced... we were screaming at the top of our voices! hahaha.. the choir spirit was so strong, it seriously felt like SYF 2007 where the choir stood up, screamed and applauded for attaining gold with honours. *tears of joy* lol
in one of the warm-ups room, we took pictures of the whole choir with the trophy that we attained. the sppech mr foong gave was touching and how i hope it will repeat again. hahaha.. our curfew was extended for another hour. hahha.. back at the hotel, we had racing outside along the corridor. hahah! it was so fun.. some vs guys were playing football so chengwei went to ask them to join us. hahaha tkchoir versus vschoir.. and guess who won? TKCHOIR! hahahhaha! we were so happy! WOOTS!
the next morning, we had to leave. we went to bangkok for shopping before heading for the airport. the plane was delayed so we sat in the waiting hall for our plane to be ready. the ride back home was bumpy. it was horrible. there was an air turbulence and i kinda jumped up and my head hit sandy's chair. lol. finally, we reached singapore. HOME SWEET HOME(: i waited for sandy, nigel and the rest to take their luggage and we headed for the exit together. hahaha.. there my father stood as he gestured me over to him. then i bought starbucks and we went home(:
the ending's like a fairy tale ending. lol. hahaha
I WANT THIS BOOK! i've saw it. i've touched it. yet, i dont own it. sad :(
